Emily Hauber
Emily Hauber is the President and CEO of the Conventum Group. She brings over 15 years of government relations, public policy, and project development and delivery experience at the federal, state and local level building successful partnerships with diverse stakeholders both in the public and private sector to redefine and advance projects and public policy on a broad range of issues. Emily is an expert strategist who can deal with complex issues and is able to effectively build strategic coalitions to advance the needs of her clients. She is recognized for reliability, sincerity, and professional representation.
In her role as President and CEO of the Conventum Group, Emily served as Senior Policy Advisor for the Association for Improvement of American Infrastructure (AIAI), the nation’s leading association for Public Private Partnerships (P3). In this role, she was responsible for identifying, developing, and advocating for policies and regulatory changes that positively affected the industry with Congress and the Administration. Additionally, Emily served on numerous panels as a national expert in P3 and alternative delivery.
In addition to her work at AIAI, Emily has been responsible for leading project development strategies to address political, funding, and financing risks on a wide range of projects including traditional surface transportation projects, transit-oriented development projects, stadium development projects, rail, bridges, and water projects. Emily has successfully sought, secured, and protected hundreds of millions of dollars for projects.
Prior to founding the Conventum Group, Emily served in Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock’s administration as the Executive Director of the Office of Performance-Based Infrastructure. In this role, she led project development and procurement efforts with the private sector to complete major infrastructure projects and other programs through long-term, performance-based procurements. Previously, Emily served as Director of Federal and State Affairs for Mayor Hancock. In that role, she led the city’s federal and state affairs programs including strategy development and implementation of federal and state legislative and regulatory agendas as well as intergovernmental work. Her portfolio included transportation, housing, economic development, public safety, public health, and social services issues as well as strategic coalition building and campaign execution with the nation’s mayors and other local and state elected officials and associations. Emily spent much of her time advocating for the city of Denver’s priorities in Washington, DC and at the Colorado State Capitol.
Emily holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado, Denver and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
